This is where I was sitting to take the photo - the chair nearest to the window -that's my bedroom windowl.
Thank you, deepeabee.
We are very happy that my father-in-law is feeling much better again.
This chair nearest to the window sounds like a wonderful place to get lost in some EB adventures...
I've been to Spain once in August 1982. It was too hot without a. c., but the Flamenco show at night sure was unforgettable.
Have a great time in Spain!

Hi Chrissie — so glad to hear the mystery was solved and your father-in-law is much better! Hope your mother-in-law stays well too.
Looks like you've got a fantastic place there, Dot! Keep on enjoying it.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Sixret, the pill bottles were originally properly labeled. That's how US pharmacies hand them over to everybody whose on prescribed medications.
However, many Americans tend to put all their daily pills into one container or zip lock bag.
And from my own experience I can explain why: last year I forgot for the very first time if I had already taken my sleeping pill or not?
I couldn't find it out by counting the remaining pills in the pharmacy bottle, so on the following day my husband gave me one of those long green pill containers (which I always thought are for "old people" ) where each day of the week has a little "door". That way you can be sure that you took your medication.

My experience with US prescription meds is that although they do give them to me with a label, the label sometimes fades after a while. Like if I keep the bottle in my pocket, as I keep taking it out and putting it back it keeps rubbing against the pocket, and the writing on the label gets "rubbed off".
Glad to read your in-laws are better again Chrissie .
Deepabee that view is fantastic . It looks extremely inviting, even more so after looking out of my own window at a very grey wet world .

Just had a walk up to Kings Norton Green to have a look at our annual Mop fair - very busy, and noisy and not quite what it used to be back in the 1900's! But I'm very proud of the fact that Kings Norton Mop fair is the only Mop fair left in Birmingham. Its been held regularly since 1616, originally in May, but since the 1950's the first Monday in October.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
yes - I should perhaps have included that! In the old days servants would go there, as it was a 'hiring fair'. they would carry buckets, mops, barrels, etc, to denote what their job of work was, and employers would be able to pick them out easily and offer them employment.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone

yes - nowadays its more of a fun fair, but still called a Mop, as it was granted in a charter by King James in the 1600's.
It used to be a hiring Fair for trades people and agricultural workers etc, then in the 1950's it was taken over by what we call 'the round table' - a charitable organisation, who kept it running for charity. There used to be strong men competitions, Bouncing Baby competitions, and an annual 'Miss Kings Norton' pageant, as well as an ox roast where a full ox was roasted on a spit - and later a pig, plus fairground rides.
now though its really just a funfair but still called the 'Mop'
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
