Thank you for your good wishes Courtenay, Eddie, Pete and John. As we just found out, the larger (second) hospital released him too this afternoon.
We can only hope and pray that he'll fell better tomorrow than he felt yesterday.

Thanks for the good vibes, Rob! 8)
Today at 10 a.m. we had the first sunshine since Sunday...I took that as a good omen.

We'll visit my father-in-law on Saturday.
They were planning to drive (within 3 days, so theiy are taking their time) in mid October down to Florida. We assume that the many preparations for their trip just became too much for him.
My parents-in-law usually spend 6 months in FL during the cold months and 6 months in New England from May to October.

Thank you for your kind wishes, Anita, Daisy, Julie and sixret.
My father-in-law was released from the second hospital yesterday in the afternoon, but we still have no news how he's doing this morning.
We'll leave Cody in his home from home (the kennel) tomorrow and then will drive to New Hampshire to visit my parents-in-law.

Thank you so much, number 6, and thank you to all other forumites who were so kind to send their well wishes for my father-in-law.

BTW "The Mystery of the mixed up Pills" has been solved yesterday. :D
We went to New Hampshire to meet André's parents.
His mom found out that last weekend when she prepared as usual two zip lock bags for her husband and for herself with all the medications that they have to take over the course of the week, she unintentionally gave him her sleeping pills and she took his pills which lower his blood sugar. Both kind of pills look almost identical.

So André's dad was always getting better on those days that he spent at the two hospitals and was put on his correct medication, but as soon as he was back home and took her sleeping pills in the morning (instead of his blood sugar lowering pills), he felt sick and very tired again.

So now both of them feel better, but I worry about my belle-mère as she has gotten extremely skinny. She was always a slim woman and she still works out at the gym, but now she is too thin for her own good. She claims that she's never hungry.

Chrissie, I'm glad the mystery was solved in the end, as all good mysteries should be. :)

I thought you all might like a catch up with where I am in Spain. It's been a very hectic month while I've been learning (still a lot to learn, but feeling a little less like an uprooted tree) the way of things here.

Today I've been preparing my lessons for tomorrow on the balcony: this is the view

This is where I was sitting to take the photo - the chair nearest to the window -that's my bedroom windowl.
