Nice game. Takes me back as we always used to play it. :)

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"

A very good job indeed. :D
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Not exactly 'strange' - but I saw this on eBay - 'The Mystery That Never Was' - first edition in a DW.

I bought my first edition from eBay last year - in a much better DW - for £12.50. ;-) It really is a nice book to have in a first edition, as all the illustrations are in black and white and red. :-)

Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Yes, it is perfectly lined up. Tricky work to get it right, a bit like trying to line up Tall Stone, Chimney and Steeple while keeping one eye on Tock Hill.

We had the game in a compendium of games, but I don't remember playing it much, maybe a few times.

It is mystery that there are no negative feedbacks registered against the seller - but I suppose that he/she is not trying to mislead - just vastly overpricing the book.

I think sometimes people just try their luck and be a bit cheeky! I did the same with a second edition of 'The Magic Faraway Tree' - without a dust wrapper. It went for £90 which I certainly wouldn't have paid!

I think its just that some buyers will pay any price for a Farway Tree book!

That makes up for the £10 you had to refund! What goes around....
