Sadly Morgan is no longer with us. But Julie does have a new dog called Rosie, so perhaps she was involved...

I remember the incidence very well because many forumites used to pull Nigel's leg. I remember seeing a photo of Nigel, John Pickup and Cathy outside the pub here in forum. I remember very well their meet up with Julie as well. I think Morgan was still alive then. But you're right, Courtenay. Maybe it was a different meet up altogether. :D :D

Julie's dogs have never bitten me or anyone else to my knowledge. I rather imagine it might have been one of our six-legged friends...

We don't have the biting spiders that Australia has, so an insect is a far more likely culprit.

Well, I always wondered why Philip thought the spider that was crawling on Lucy-Ann's arm in "The Woods of Adventure" was poisonous. Well, it gave a good plot-device for Dinah.

I assume The Woods of Adventure was not set in the UK?

It was probably a wasp. They usually get me leaping around!

The series was set in the UK, this episode as well, the Woods are close to the Mannering's home when Bill pretended to have a holiday with Allie and the children to investigate the death of one of his co-workers.
They go abroad now and then, but not in this episode.

Wasps get me leaping around too! I turn crazy at the sight of one!

'The Woods of Adventure' sounds...er...a bit different to the other proper books in the series!! Death of Bill's co-worker?!

For some reason the Adventure TV series changed 'The Castle of Adventure' into 'The Woods of Adventure, at a guess because there was already a adaption of Castle and they either didn't want to use the same title or weren't allowed to . The story was completely changed as well, it's nothing like the book! :x

Thanks for that clarification... I have seen very little EB on screen and have only lately got a set of the 70s Famous Five TV adaptations.
