There was always rumours that Buddy was not really dead but now we know he was hiding in Eastbourne all this time! Have a lovely time Eddie and Chick - you deserve it.

In connection with rock n roll I see its 40 years ago today since Elvis died. I remember that happening like it was yesterday, even though I was only six!

I wasn't all that mad on Elvis really, I preferred Cliff Richard.

Glad you enjoyed your day in Brighton, Nigel and Eddie. Hope you and Chick have fun at the show tonight, Eddie!

I've never been an Elvis fan, either. I do like 'In the Ghetto' though.Julie2owlsdene wrote:I wasn't all that mad on Elvis really, I preferred Cliff Richard.

Enjoy your evening, Eddie and Chick. I hope I enjoy mine, I'm going to Hillsborough to watch Sheffield Wednesday play Sunderland.

Re: General Natter Room
Thanks, Anita and John. We have just got back home from Eastbourne. Fortunately we didn't have too much trouble parking in the town and we had quite a nice quiet drive back to Brighton. Be-Bop-A-Lula is a great show which both Chick and I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have just checked the football results and discovered that the Owls drew 1-1 with Sunderland, John. Not the result you wanted. Nor was yesterday's Forest result, Number 6. Still it's early days yet and I'm hoping for better things to come for both of your teams. On a happier note, Kidderminster Harriers have won their last two games, and so perhaps this is a sign of better things to come for them.

Re: General Natter Room
Delighted that you both enjoyed your evening out, Eddie! The show does sound fabulous. Do you usually get a programme when you see such shows, because I can imagine you've got a cupboard full by now!
Yes, a bad result for the Reds on tues eve. That 'Powder-Puff' defence shown its frailty again! Not an ideal result for the Owls but, like we've said, it's early doors yet. Glad the KH have had a good start. Let's hope some good luck shines on our respective teams from now until the end of the season.

Thanks, Number 6. I always get a programme of the shows I see and I really do have a cupboard full of them.

Re: General Natter Room
Sounds like a busy couple of days for you Eddie. I'm glad you and Chick enjoyed the show and didn't have too much trouble with parking. The airshow always knocks things about in that regard. Also sounds like you had a great day with Nigel and Jane. Hopefully you had good weather, it's turned nasty up here today.
As most here probably know I am a huge Elvis fan and spent most of yesterday listening to his music, watching his films and chatting on my other forum; the Elvis one. More than 60,000 people showed up for a memorial service at his former home in Memphis which is pretty amazing for a guy who has been dead for 40 years.Rob Houghton wrote:In connection with rock n roll I see its 40 years ago today since Elvis died.
