Re: General Natter Room
It's so nice to be back, though probably indefinitely! Gosh, is it nearly 5 years since the last EB day? Such a shame to hear that there has been no more, but what a privilege to go to the last one. Wow My full fringe is gone (got rid of it that year, thank goodness) and I'm a lot taller and older, but I'm still give or take the same person!
Abi.
Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...
Occasionally will pop in! xx

Is that a threat or a promise?Bannerman65 wrote: I'll try not to hope I'll win something, though. If I do, and it's a lot, then Moonus can expect a visit from me. In person....
Isn't it. Mind you, we have a regular local craft/antique fair and there is a 50p admission charge to enter. We are planning a holiday in the Hawes area for later in the year. I will report back!Anita wrote:What a curious story!

A promise, Moonus, for you and I to hook up in person, and do some face to face catching up, as friends. And talk about your own favourite books....
In this case, Moonus, the 50p admission, to the craft/antique fair is justified, as it helps the organizers pay the costs of the fair. And I'm well aware, Moonus, that you already knew this. Statement of fact.
And I hope that you and your wife, enjoy your holiday in Hawes, Moonus. When you both go there, I mean.

I've bought a book from that guy about 10 years ago. It was Five Run Away Together, an early white-spined edition. It was reasonably priced too. I was never asked to pay an admission charge. All I can remember about the chap was that he didn't say very much.Moonraker wrote: We are planning a holiday in the Hawes area for later in the year. I will report back!

He's just been featured on BBC Look North. Seems rather a nice chap.

No need to change here - apart from getting older. We love you just as you are.7upromana01 wrote:It's so nice to be back, though probably indefinitely! I too love looking at photos from the E.B Days, Lenoir, and think of the happy memories, the day, the books, it was always the high light of my year, I just loved it. Seems so long ago now, but the memories are always forefront in my mind.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

The memories are worth remembering.
The new term of school has started. I have been very busy for this past one week. Read the postings but too busy to reply.

Re: General Natter Room
Some of us have been back since last week
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

How do you feel about Moonraker?Carlotta King wrote:I love anything to do with the moon and find it really beautiful, so to me, someone called Moon-Face should have something magical and literally moon-like about him (because I think Moon-Face is a magical-sounding name!)
