There was very fresh seaweed on the side walls of the cliffs at the start of the beach and washed up seaweed and flotsam and jetsam right up at the beginning of the beach, so perhaps the water does come in much further at high tide?

I found this pic online which would seem to suggest the tide does come in a lot further - especially in stormy weather.
wow! Quite a contrast! Spectacular photo!

Beautiful photos Pete!
The color of the water reminds me a bit of the rocky Oregon coast in the Pacific Northwest. I'll try and get some photos in November. STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I'M FINALLY GOING TO PORTLAND AFTER SIX YEARS OMGOMGOMGOMG

The summit is almost 700 feet above sea level so it's hardly a mountain, although the climb is quite steep in places but well worth it for the wonderful views.

I always have a bit of trouble with Photobucket, Eddie, but usually get there eventually!

Glad you got to Saudi Arabia okay, Philip, though the 3-hour queue sounds like a nightmare!

Forgot to take any photos of picnics or ices. Suppose I was too busy eating!

Your visit sounded lovely, Anita - sadly I couldn't see your photos, am I behind on technology? My last effort on Photobucket didn't come out, I'll have to go back to the drawing board...

The photos of the Great Orme were from quite a while ago, Floragord. Photobucket used to be free but they now charge to share photos on forums, etc. Sadly, previously-shared photos no longer show unless you pay up.

I’ve recently discovered that Photobucket now charge you to put photos on the forums, and have decided to close my account with them rather than pay up.

Du'uh!, I hadn't looked at the dates, Anita! My last efforts with Photobucket were a non-event, now I know why nothing materialised when I posted the photos on the Forum! Ah well, back to the drawing board!
