It was nice to meet Satin, George! Unfortunately I'm allergic to animal fur/hair/feathers so I can't have any pets, but if I could I'd choose a dog - probably a Terrier or a Dalmatian.

At the moment have pigeons and rabbits at our house. In the past had two togs, one an Alsatian called Tiger and another, I forgot its breed, called Tommy. My father is planning on a deer project, so hopefully will have some deer to look forward to soon! :) My father keeps going to my uncle's house almost every fortnight and goes and visits the deer, falcon, cats, dogs, rabbits and pigeons he keeps. What a crowd of animals...

We've got two dogs at the moment, called Molly and Bob :-)
I brought them both back from Italy with me. I've had Molly since she was a month old. I phoned the vet to ask him if he knew of any puppies that needed adopting, and he gave me the number of another English lady who was looking after four stray puppies. She later told me that two of the others were poisoned by local people (there is a big stray dog problem in Italy!) and the third was killed by a wild boar, so I was glad I could save at least one of them.
I found Bob a few years later. He was ill and someone had dumped him on the side of the road. He was probably about a year old at the time. Unfortunately he's just been diagnosed with "leishmaniasis", an incurable disease that he must have caught from a sandfly in Italy. The vets here had never seen a case before. We've managed to get hold of some treatment from abroad, so hopefully it should go into remission for a while and he might even have a few more years of life left.
I'd love to have a cat too, but the dogs go mad when they see cats :-(

At the moment I have nothing, since my goldfish carked it last year :(. We had a dog, a Shetland Sheepdog but she had to be put to sleep nearly two years ago at the age of nearly 13.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.

Two guinea pigs - Terrance and Philip. Not very sociable I'm afraid.
Half term at last!

Two cats - Phoebe and Calypso, both named after Greek nymphs but not very nymphlike I'm afraid! They're tortoiseshell coloured, but I don't have any photos on my computer for you, so this page will have to do to show the colouring.

We have a dog - Maltese cross Pomeranian called Tessie (After Tessie in the Noddy books). She just loves being with the family and is always trying to sneak inside the house to sit on the couch.
Once she even managed to climb onto the roof of our two story house and come in through my brother's bedroom window on the second floor. She'll stop at nothing to get in!

Many thanks Nige and Ming, took a bit of doing but she's worth it!

Rode again yesterday and she found a puddle in the field - here's proof (if any were needed, that Satin is as mad as a bag of cats :)

10 minutes we stood in that while she got all the splashing out of her system... I was soaked by the end of it...
