Happy Birthday, John! Hope you have a brilliant day full of Blytonian style pleasures! :-)
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

(E. Blyton, Sunday Times, 1951)

Thank you all so much. It is wonderful to login to these forums and find so many greetings from such good friends. I am having a wonderful time in Israel: today I have even been through a secret passage built by the Crusaders no less. Very Blytonian. I shall give a fuller report when I get back next week.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes and I can't wait for the 2nd of July. :D

Belated very best wishes for a happy birthday, Lucky Star! Great to hear you are having a fabulous time in Israel, I think I know the very secret passage you mention - in the Crusader fort at Acco (Acre)? Enjoy the rest of your trip and looking forward to hearing of your experiences.

Thanks Katharine. I had a moment of complete confusion when I saw this thread in use again. Yes I had a great time thanks. Feels like it was years ago now though.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
