The link doesn't work for me - but I had already looked at it in the cave and while an interesting and unusual item, it is vastly over-priced as far as I'm concerned. I like the other one in that format too. I wonder if there are any more as yet undiscovered.

Sorry, guys — fixed the link in my previous post.

As I've said before - I have bought some lovely reasonably-priced books from Stella and Roses Books iin the past - usually in person, as Roses Books in Hay On Wye or at Stella's Books in Tintern - but I agree they do like to load the prices onto things sometimes - especially when they are selling them on the internet!

I certainly wouldn't pay anything more than around £25 for the Poll the Parrot book...and that would be a stretch!!

I'd probably pay 50p for it...

I'd happily pay 50c for it — that's worth less than 50p. 8)

I would probably stretch to £5, as long as postage was free!

(£6 for economy delivery seems ridiculous for a little book like that!!)

I am guessing that none of you are ever going to own any Birn Brothers' books! :lol:

It is probably only serious collectors who are interested anyway, but they are extremely scarce and hence very expensive. A book like At Seaside Cottage is as common as mud by comparison and nobody could possibly call it rare as it frequently turns up for sale and shouldn't ever cost more than £20 to £30!

this is why I'm waiting for a cheaper copy of At Seaside Cottage! :-)

Far more reasonably priced but I'm not sure if it IS Enid Blyton - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Small-Old-En ... 1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's not in the cave!

It looks a nice little book, even if it isn't by Enid Blyton. :D

I don't think it is by Enid Blyton. There's a book with the same title in The Cave - but it has totally different verses!

Yes, I saw that in the cave. It's not unknown for Blyton to use the same title/character for more than one story though. I suspect the seller just wants Enid's name in their listing to help get more views!

It's now the second time I ordered something from the USA and it's getting lost on the transfer. The first time it was the complete DVD-set of the old Perry Mason series, now it's the boardgame "Civiliaztion - A new dawn". It's most frustrating :-(.
