As this thread has been bumped, I thought I'd mention that quite a lot of people at the moment are (needlessly) quoting the whole of the post immediately above theirs when replying. I may well have been guilty of that myself from time to time, but the practice seems to have become more common recently and I've edited at least twenty instances of it today. We don't want to waste space on the forums so it makes sense only to quote snippets of previous posts - and even then only if necessary. Thanks.

We're all agreed that Anita does a fantastic job, Pete, but you've just quoted the whole of her post which she's just explained she'd rather people didn't do! :?

Cheers! If I'd seen your post with the quote still in place, Pete, I'd have thought you were having a joke!

We've done this a few times in India, in cities as far apart as Mumbai and Bangalore and Madras. The number of attendees has been small though -- it's varied between two and six. We discuss Blyton and swap books, usually over lunch/tea. A couple of Blyton fans even stayed with me when they visited my city. I don't see why such unofficial 'mini-meetups' can't be held in any town where the number of Blyton fans exceeds one. :)

Though not as rare as finding a woman who admits to making a mistake. Go on, Julie, now tell me women don't make mistakes?

How can you find something that doesn't exist?

Sorry Anita, but I was working on the assumption that men usually forget whatever it is a woman has just said about 2 minutes after she's said it.

If I might not be mistaken, I believe great Australian Blyton enthusiasts and fans like Michael Edwards, Shaun Hately and Heather Sapuppo (former administrator of the http://heathersblytonpages.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) once met in Melbourne (I presume that all the three were residing there at that time) during the heyday of the Blyton Yahoo Group.
