Private Messages

Post by Anita Bensoussane »

We're aware that some forum members have been receiving private messages (PMs) which make them feel uncomfortable. I'm talking about short, abrupt messages that don't say much, and which come from someone with whom they haven't had much contact. Please let Tony and myself know if you receive any PMs you're not happy with, and don't feel obliged to reply to them - it's better not to respond. As a general rule, particularly if you're young, it's wise not to give out any personal details in a PM or email unless you know the person you're writing to.

Just a reminder that if you receive any private messages (PMs) which make you feel uncomfortable for any reason, the best response is not to respond at all - and to let Tony or me know. And of course it's unwise to give out personal details to anyone in a PM or email unless you know them well.
