Gotcha!!
Several people have remarked that they found this month's quiz very difficult - we're not surprised!
The questions were set by Anita - and Anita has got a wicked sense of humour!
Have another look at the Quiz results so far (posted below as it is possible that they have already vanished from the Quiz page):-
1. 1-Apr-2008 Anita 23 02:23 2157
2. 1-Apr-2008 Pip 22 03:06 2014
3. 3-Apr-2008 Reilly 21 02:13 1967
4. 2-Apr-2008 isobella 21 02:33 1947
5. 3-Apr-2008 Lirpa Loof 18 02:21 1659
6. 3-Apr-2008 Findouter 17 02:46 1534
7. 3-Apr-2008 Oddjob 16 02:46 1434
8. 2-Apr-2008 oglethorpe2008 15 01:14 1426
9. 1-Apr-2008 Laura P 15 01:39 1401
10. 2-Apr-2008 Kate Mary 10 02:53 827
11. 1-Apr-2008 Ming 10 02:55 825
Now check the initial letter of the first nine contestants and read downwards.
Everybody was busy looking for pranks on April 1st, but here was one that nobody spotted, so we tried to make it a bit more obvious.
The first ten questions are fine and congratulations to Kate Mary and Ming for getting them all right. Questions 11 to 30 were a load of rubbish and obviously none of the answers were right - so we didn't even let you guess. Oh, and the top nine contestants don't exist, that's where Keith came in, feeding fictitious names onto the board bit by bit.
We did play fair, however, by putting Anita at the top, after all, it was her quiz!
By the time you read this, we may already have put the proper quiz for April back again, so please have another go as you should get a better score!!

Ha ha Tony that was excellent. Completely fooled me. And everyone else by the looks of things. Well done. Of course I also feel much better knowing that my Blyton knoledge is not as poor as I had thought.

Re: Gotcha!!
Amazing! That has got to be the Fool of the Year, just beating Keith's affair with the lovely Sarah! I was spared from being officially conned as initially I couldn't register on the quiz, then I must confess, I forgot all about it!
Well done to all concerned. I never imagined it to be a prank!

Re: Gotcha!!
Brilliant! I did so badly that I thought it OUGHT to have been an April fool, but then, my Blyton knowledge isn't great, so I didn't actually take the thought seriously - as it were!
Congratulations, a "treek" worthy of Alicia, Betty, Darrell and June all mashed together!

Gwendoline lay down, angry. She determined to make herself miserable and cry.

Re: Gotcha!!
Must admit we've been metaphorically stuffing handkerchiefs in our mouths while looking at the score board and reading your comments over the last few days! Ming's "Little Bets" remark, "Half of the things I'm not even sure whether I've come across in my books!" (two-thirds in reality!) made me wonder if someone might do a Fatty and say, "Aha - that's because the answers are not in the books!" Luckily, they didn't. Lucky Star, I'm afraid you'll never find out what wild birds were eaten on the Secret Island - Enid Blyton only mentions the children catching rabbits and fish! Neither will we ever know Joan/Joanna's favourite film, or who was Headmistress of St. Clare's before Miss Theobald, or what Dick Kirrin's teddy bear was called. As for Kiki's original name, or which popular television programme used to feature some of Enid Blyton's Toyland characters...!

Re: Gotcha!!
well done on a great April Fool joke!!
the really disturbing thing is, I managed to find answers for all of them and imagined they were right (except the head mistress question!) Good one. Enid (being fond of jokes) would have heartily approved!

Cheers, Robert. I'd love to have been able to see people's faces when they saw what they'd scored!

Re: Gotcha!!
what I don't understand is I've now had a go on the REAL April quiz and done not too badly, but was it my imagination or where most of the questions old ones that have featured before? i remembered half of them from somewhere else...Thought April Fools day had finished!
