Re: Another Milestone!
Hurrah! Love live the Enid Blyton Society (and the forums)!
How do you manage to keep track of all these figures Tony? Do you keep your eyes peeled for a milestone message?

Re: Another Milestone!
I just happened to check out the forums, Ming, and I noticed that the messages were on 39999 so I couldn't resist posting! I do quite often look at that number at the bottom to see how much activity there has been on the forums as it is a good quick guide.

Re: Another Milestone!
Long Live The Enid Blyton Society and our wonderful forums. I bet nobody ever thought, when the forums began, that we would ever reach this milestone and still be rolling.

Ginger Beer and Macaroons for everyone. Great news, long may it continue.

I can't believe it!
I know I have contributed only 1100 posts or so, and it's great to see that we have currently so many members of the forum posting regularly. I can only echo the comments earlier in the thread: "Long live the Enid Blyton Society and the wonderful forums!"

"A holiday — a mystery — an adventure — and a happy ending for dear old Barney!" said Roger. "What more could anyone want?"
"An ice cream," said Snubby promptly. "Who's coming to buy one?" The Rubadub Mystery

Now I suppose that isn't interesting.
By the way, what is the Closed/Removed Topics forum supposed to be for? It's locked now, and I imagine not of any use. So why is it still there?

Re: Another Milestone!
That forum is only for use by moderators and administrators. In the past we moved some threads there in which there had been a lot of silliness/arguments. That meant no further posts could be added while we were deciding what to do, and in the end those threads were deleted. Hopefully we'll rarely have to use that forum, but it's there in case we need it again.Philip Mannering wrote:By the way, what is the Closed/Removed Topics forum supposed to be for? Jolly good, everyone! (Was nearly going to say "Woo hoo" but thought I might get into trouble for using a meaningless Americanism. )
