They should all be normal sized again now though. If you're still huge images, try refreshing your screen.

Thanks, Heather. Matt's sorted the edit button, but we're still deliberating, pondering, contemplating and cogitating over the search thing. :(

I can see it as it was, a normal size. Try refreshing again and again.

It looks larger than normal to me as well. But not HUGE.
The other avatars look the same though.

Susie, right click on your avatar and see what it says under Properties. The dimensions should say 100 x 100 pixels. If that's right, then your avatar is displaying normally. I did reduce your avatar manually and cropped it close, so it may be a fraction bigger than it was -- but certainly not huge. If your avatar takes up most of the screen, and refreshing doesn't help, then don't worry -- it's not your computer, and restarting it won't help.

The browser you use stores images in the temporary folder so it doesn't have to reload images each time. Possibly your browser thinks the image hasn't changed, when it has, so navigate away from the forums, then go to Tools > Internet Options and delete your temporary internet files. Close ALL browser windows down afterwards to be sure! Then return to the forums and see if that made a difference.

If it's still HUGE, then it's most likely your local internet service provider storing "old" information. It usually rights itself around midnight (a standard reset time) but it's kind of unusual. It's more likely your browser's temporary files.

It does say 100 x 100 thanks goodness, it's still big but not huge anymore.
Thanks Keith and all those who offered advice.
