Well, I often act like him, lol! I'm often groaning 'I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!' in an irascible way

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I quite agree. :)
I was the person who took the quiz as Aparna. It's my sister's first name. :)

Well done!
You scored one more than me in the quiz and held onto the top spot for a good while until the Scotch Brainbox equalled your score and took the top spot! :D

I did worse than I thought I had done when I completed the quiz.
That makes a change from a month or two back, when I did a lot better than I thought I must have done. I think sometimes I get lucky (or unlucky!) with the questions I have to guess.

I was waiting on you ousting me from first place really, Lenoir!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I never expect to get anywhere near the top, simply because there are so many Blyton books I haven't read (and, not being a "real" collector or avid "completist", if you like, I don't ever expect to read them all), so I was quite stunned at how high up the chart I was this time and how long I remained in third place! I can only think I had some really lucky guesses this time, considering how many people with much more Blyton knowledge found this one difficult. But it's all just fun, anyway.

The last time I looked Fiona was still top with a mighty twenty four points.

Question:
Could someone complete the quiz in a superfast time, score twenty three and go to the top of the leader board?

Certainly they could. A faster completion time would put them ahead.

I see T F Carthick has appeared again...and scored 28 in only 1 minute 28 seconds. :(
Interestingly Rob, he seems to have bettered his score this month, although in a slightly longer time...

Interesting! I personally found this quiz quite difficult - only got 23 out of 30...so I'm surprised that someone can have a first attempt and get 29 right in only 1:38. Regardless of whether this is 'above board' or not - I personally feel TF Carthick is having more than one go, using a different name and on a different device, in order to read the questions without being spotted by admin!

I got 19.I think you got a good result Rob,as to me this month's quiz was rather difficult.

I think one entrant even scored zero this month!
But to be fair, they only spent around fourteen seconds or so attempting the quiz.

Thanks Pete - it was pretty difficult I thought! A lot of similar-sounding names to choose from! :-D

That's why I find it astounding that someone can get 29/30 in under two minutes. I know it can be done, but I would never be able to achieve that! :-D
