I'd never noticed the inconsistency in George's clothes in 'Adventuring Again' - but now you've pointed it out, Carlotta - yeah - it really looks odd! I only 'saw' the 1950's clothes but now George looks like she's gone back in time to share in an adventure with her ancestors!! ;-)

I don't know the price of the Mary Gernat covers, Pete. I eventually found the website they had been on last night but it isn't there anymore. The site is just a homepage saying the shop is closed and to contact the administrator.

I'm not really bothered by the "Adventuring Again" clothes. Just last Sunday at church I saw a little girl dressed very similar to the way Anne is portrayed. And Julian seems to be wearing his school uniform, the kind of uniform at least some English boys still wear today. There is a huge diversity in how modern children dress. Maybe it was a mistake to put Anne and Julian together in the front, that does kind of make it look like the two of them are separate from Dick and George==like they come from a different time period.

Still not sure why Julian would be wearing 'school uniform' while George is in jeans, lol...and a school uniform that includes shorts? Not very likely in 2016.
