I am looking forward to reading Tales of the Twins! Is there a list anywhere that would tell you all the whole books in the cave?

Thanks!
Kirsty

Thanks! I don't think I was very clear sorry, I meant 'whole books' such as Tales of the Twins which have been scanned in in their entirety :)

In that case, just click earlier pages in this thread and you'll find Tony's postings regarding the titles that he has uploaded. :D

Below are some of the titles that Tony has uploaded the stories in full:

You can also read Enid Blyton's weekly letters and Bob's letters every Wednesday!

I know there are some short stories in Teachers World as well.

That's all I know. I'm sure someone will add more links if there are titles that I have left out. :D

Happy reading, Kirsty! :D

To be precise there are 205 uncollected stories in Teachers World and all but one of these is on this website. It might take a while to find which one isn't! :D

Wow! I've not read any of these stories ever before, so it was quite pleasant surprise to discover them! Well done to all who posted the links. :)

This morning I read Terry Gustafson's very thorough review of the "John and Mary" incarnation of The Little Brown Bear. It sounds as though the editors did a pretty good job, even though the story was abridged and Mary had to be brought into it. I've got the original version in The Little Brown Bear and Other Stories (Award, 1985) and it's a heartwarming wish-fulfillment story. I don't mind a bit that it's rather far-fetched - it's delightful to see a seemingly impossible dream come true.

I've just read Terry Gustafson's review of the "John and Mary" book Tim Gets a Chance. Thanks, Terry, for reviewing all the books! It's an interesting story because of the "psychological approach" used to try to alter Tim's attitude and behaviour - and I always enjoy Enid Blyton's stories about birds as her enthusiasm for birdlife comes through. At the end, there's a suggestion that the same psychological approach will be used on someone else. That might lead to it being tried on yet another person, and so on. There are many Enid Blyton tales in which people "pass on" a good turn, and in this case we have the passing on of a lesson that is taught in a gentle, inspiring manner.

I've got a copy of the original story in The Little Brown Bear and Other Stories. John and Mary are called Paul and Janet, Tim is Jack (therefore the title is 'Jack Gets a Chance') and his friend Chris is George.

I am getting a bit carried away with this scanning game as I have now done the final Nursery Book in full, The Dear Old Snow Man. It is a slightly quirky title this as I am sure that Enid intended it to be 'Snowman' as that is the title of the first story. However that was scuppered by Eileen Soper with her artwork for both the cover and the title page which that meant that in all good bibliographies the title had to have 'Snow Man' in it!
