I've just read Chapter One. A great start Julie! I'm looking forward to the rest.
For once I can say thank goodness the weeks seem to go faster these days than they did when I was young! :)

Let's hope you continue to enjoy the whole story, Daisy. :)

I remember the singer Hazell Dean, Anita.

I'm really pleased with the banner, Tony. How lovely the painting could be used. :D

The banner picture is superb, Julie. :D

My treat for this evening will be reading the first chapter of your serial. :D

I don't put myself in Enid's bracket, Nigel. She is an excellent writer, and one I wouldn't even want to compete with.

If only a few readers enjoy the story, then I'm happy. :)

It certainly looks good and I really like the painting. Shades of "Owl's Dene" in the title; I'm surprised you didn't call it "Hawk's Dene" or something.

Like Eddie I will settle down a bit later on to give it a proper read. :D

I didn’t expect a new serial right away so this is a nice surprise. I enjoyed the first chapter and it’s similar in style to the originals.
I think more than a few of us will enjoy it!

Does this mean your Find-Outers in Retirement series, over on EnidBlyton.net has reached its conclusion, Julie? Or have you just "switched sides" temporarily? :|

Thanks, Sally, hope you continue to enjoy.

I did start a retirement fan-fic, Nigel, but family commitments interrupted my writing, and I've as yet to go back to look at it all again. I still feel in the back of my mind that maybe the readers were tiring of Fatty &Co in retirement. So it's still a big IF whether or not I finish it. :)

Oh for goodness sake, you're not Enid Blyton, hoping to get thousands of letters, are you? If Eddie and I want you to write some more, then you need to write them. We speak for the silent majority. In any case, we don't want hundreds of "Dear Julie, you must..." posts clogging up the forums do we?
