Another exciting chapter... things are certainly gathering speed and clues beginning to drop into place. Thanks Rob.

'gathering speed' = getting more preposterous! ;-)

Thank you Daisy! I'm quite amazed that there are only another 9 chapters to go now! :D

I've fully intended to start this serial 2/3 times over the last few months but so far not managed it. I'm looking forward to reading the whole story, Rob.

Time flies!
It's been a long time since I wrote. I read the Serial each week, but was a bit distracted the last few weeks to write. I'm looking forward to the next chapters, even if I'm sad then to see the end of this story. I do wonder about some characters, but I will see, won't I? ;)

Thanks Dinah! I agree time flies! It doesn't seem long since my serial was starting and I thought 'wow! It doesn't finish until April!" and now we are almost there. :-)

Thought I'd add a sneaky illustration, now my story is reaching the climax - actually its a 'showbook' I made last year, when we were trying out our own designs, but I didn't post a photo until now as it revealed certain aspects of the plot.

Those who are following the story will see I made liberties with the illustration, as in reality only Barney is in this scene, but still! :-D

It's a really gripping chapter - thanks for the illustration Rob. I couldn't begin to picture it from the description, although I didn't try very hard as such machines are beyond my imagination. I'm thoroughly enjoying each weekly episode.

I like your '"showbook" illustration, Rob. I can see the three-dimensional elements of it. I love the swirling pattern of the cave. It shows depth. The only criticism is the man near the machine. He has a potato-head!

Thanks for the chapter, poor Barney... Looking forward to the next chapters, even if it means that the story will be finished.

Lol! Yes - I was thinking that when I looked at the photos I took! Somehow it looks better in real life - but his head is too small, and rather red!!
