Its a large annual-sized book, with lots of illustrations. Much of the information is taken from other books, but its still a great book to own.

It is well worth having! I was lucky enough to buy a secondhand copy in near mint condition for £1 more than 25 years ago.

I bought a copy last year (though I'd borrowed one from the library previously) and it cost £10 - so you had a real bargain, Eddie!
