Just wondered if anyone has actually got or seen one of these books and how many in decent condition are still around.
Looks like one was based on a story from Rubbalong Tales and the other from Mary Mouse, dont know if they published anymore based on other authors stories or not

There are a couple on abebooks, I'm guessing not many will be around in good condition as they seem to pull out like a concertina.

I have the Mary Mouse one, which was already assembled. The photo in 'The Cave', which Tony added, is one I took of my Mary Mouse show book. :-)

It was in quite good condition (I think I had to glue one side of the 'concertina' part onto the cover where it had come unstuck) and still bright, as you can see. The photo doesn't do the 3D effect justice - when fully extended the depth is about 4 feet. I don't think they really caught on, as they involved some tricky cutting out, which would have been above many younger children.

Mine was relatively cheap - £15 - but copies that aren't assembled often go for hundreds (on eBay).

Thanks for that Rob they do look a tad complicated, and as you say seem very expensive, did they do other ones besides the two Blyton ones ?

I think supposedly they did, according to adverts of up-coming books. They were also going to produce a Famous Five one and faraway Tree ( I think) but they never happened.
