Oh wow, that's even the same cover illustration to which Pete once paid memorable artistic homage... http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/foru ... 77#p248676" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

And you know, I noticed Tony doesn't have that particular cover image in the Cave... if only some kind person could buy it and let him scan it... :D (No, I'm not volunteering. I'm not collecting the FF in any editions at present!)

I can't view eBay from work but if the picture on eBay is decent it may be able to go in the cave (I've sent Tony pictures from eBay before to add.)
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

It is actually a very decent picture:

Image

Would Tony be able to use that, or does he need to get copyright permission from the photographer? (I know, I haven't done so myself, just copied it to an image hosting site and reduced the size...)

I should think Tony would be able to use that image - looks very good.

While Tony in all probabilty could use it I doubt he would. He'd need the permission of the person who actually photographed/scanned etc the cover. This could be a tedious job, and I doubt he's willing to invest that much energy into it now that he's taking his well-deserved break.

A bit ironic that, as Tony is used to seeing his hard work in scanning covers and photo-shopping them to a good quality only to be 'pinched' by other websites and displayed without permission. :|
