Yes - just UK.

It's having a trip to the charity shop as we speak! :-D

Thank you to all those who requested a book - they are all posted now and heading your way.

As some of you will know - there was no postage to pay, and although the books aren't great condition, I'm happy to be able to let them go to good homes.

All I ask in return, in Blyton fashion, is to 'pass it on' 8)

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

My book came today as well, thank you Rob!

I had to rescue it before the postie took a second attempt at breaking down my door shoving the large envelope through the not-quite-as-large letter box... It's just as well that Rob's description mentioned the spine was already bumped - though it's probably even more bumped now!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Glad they reached you both okay! :-D

Hope yours hasn't got too much more bumped, Fiona! I apologise also that it might have smelled a little of cigarettes - not my fault - it arrived in a bundle of books a while ago and has retained the smokey smell! :x

I think it's mostly OK, Rob. The envelope was torn at both corners but it's hard to tell whether any of the damage is fresh. I didn't notice any smell from it actually! Just picked it up and had a sniff (got weird looks from Ewan for that...) and it doesn't smell particularly smoky to me.

Thanks for the feedback! I usually wrap my books a bit more firmly when I'm selling them, admittedly - but interesting it got ripped at the corners so easily. Maybe it was your postie, but probably done in transit.

 I can picture you sniffing the book now and Ewan giving you funny looks!

I wonder if that has given Ewan an idea why you're addicted to books, Fiona ;-)

Whoops - I did mean that it was hard to tell if the damage to the book was fresh, the envelope was definitely torn by the postie!

The book's spine was rather damaged already so maybe no worse after the postie dealt with it, lol! ;-)

I've already PMed you, Rob, but had better add my thanks here as well — the EB Magazine Annual came last week and was just as good as hoped for! :D I want to give it to my mum, who loves Enid Blyton too (and old books in general — she won't be at all fazed by lack of a dust jacket etc.).

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Mum won't mind that, Rob, I can assure you — I doubt she would want to play it anyway. All the stories are intact, which is what matters.
